Mjölnir with Ring at top (72 cm long chains)

This silver Mjölnir is partially oxidized, to bring out the runes nicely. The yonger futhark runes date to the viking era and spell ‘MjÖLNIR’- or literally ‘MIALNIR’, because words were written entirely phonetically back then, and the younger futhark (rune alphabet) does not even have an ö-rune – with only 16 characters in total to choose from. Therefore ‘A’ replaces the ‘Ö’.
